Meet our CHARM volunteers who have devoted their time, resources, and talents to improve the conditions and quality of life for the dogs at the Headland Animal Shelter, most since 2010 (15+ years). They cannot be commended enough for their selflessness. Their only reward was lots of sloppy kisses and wet noses.

Today is the last day that CHARM will be volunteering at the Headland Animal Shelter. We will no longer be accepting donations. If you have donations for the shelter, they should be left at the Judicial Building on Park St next to the library.

We want to express our deepest appreciation to all of the individuals , organizations & businesses who have supported us over the years you have been a true blessing! It has been our pleasure to make a positive difference in the lives of thousands of dogs in our community. We turned a high kill shelter into a no kill shelter. With your donations, we have provided a new climate controlled shelter; all of the food, medical care, shelter supplies; maintenance; socialization and handled carefully screened adoptions to insure the dogs would have a loving home with proper care. We have sacrificed time with our families and holidays to cover the shelter for City employees to have their paid time off. We have loved the dogs like we love our own.

We will continue to have this lost and found page in order to help families reunite with their animals.
